1941 another black and white classic
This film has cinematography that has been reproduced thousands of times, camera angles, moody lighting, the lot. This is the life of a millionaire tycoon told by others after his death to a reporter trying to find out the meaning of his last words 'rosebud'. You have to wait until the end to find out.
For me, it's a bit boring, I'm sure if you saw it in 1941 and it was the first time you'd seen a scene shot from low down it might be less so.
6/10
